The APICS Golden Gate Chapter Board of Directors is pleased to announce two candidates to our Board membership:

Janelle Vergara has accepted the position of Director of Operations. Her primary responsibility will be to assist us in developing the appropriate processes and procedures needed to improve our operations. She is a CSSGB and recently earned her MBA from the Executive MBA program at Golden Gate University. She currently works as a Process Consultant in the Operational Excellence Department at Washington Mutual Card Services in Pleasanton. Janelle will also take an active role in the development of our Biotech Supply Chain Academy.

MaryJoy Martini has accepted the position of Director of Event Planning. Her primary responsibility will be the coordination of all venue logistics for our off-site events. She is currently the Executive Meeting Manager for the Claremont Resort and Spa in Berkeley, CA. Prior to joining the Claremont, MaryJoy was National Accounts Manager for the Marriott Hotel Chain and a Conference Center Manager for the Hilton Hotel Chain. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Travel Management from Golden Gate University.

We are so glad that we have MaryJoy on board to assist with our many events and Janelle to assist with our Academy. Please welcome both ladies in our efforts to further develop our chapter Vision, Mission, and Goals.
